Privacy notice

How your information is used.

This notice explains what personal information At Ease Dog Grooming collects and how it is handled.

Who is responsible for your information?

At Ease Dog Grooming is operated by Gem Pocock and is responsible for the personal information used by the business. You can make a privacy enquiry by emailing ateasedoggrooming@gmail.com.

What information is collected?

This may include your name, address, telephone number, email address and appointment history, together with information about your dog's health, behaviour, grooming history and care needs. Photographs are only used according to the permission you provide.

Why is it used?

Your information is used to answer enquiries, arrange and manage appointments, provide safe and appropriate grooming, communicate about your dog's care, take payment and maintain necessary business, accounting and insurance records.

The lawful reasons for using this information are taking steps at your request and providing the agreed service, legitimate business and safety interests, and meeting legal obligations where applicable. Photograph use is based on your permission, which you may withdraw for future use at any time.

How is it received and stored?

The appointment and client forms on this website create a message on your device; the website itself does not store your answers. Information is received through WhatsApp, telephone, text or email and may be stored securely in At Ease Dog Grooming's business records, including Google Drive.

WhatsApp, Google and email providers process information on behalf of the business and may process it outside the UK using recognised data-protection safeguards. Contact Gem if you would like further information about those safeguards. Your information is not sold or used for unrelated marketing.

How long is it kept?

Records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting and insurance requirements. Information that is no longer needed is securely deleted.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your information, or request a portable copy. Required client-form questions help Gem decide whether grooming can be provided safely; an appointment may not be accepted without this information.

To make a request, email ateasedoggrooming@gmail.com. If you are concerned about how your information has been handled, please contact Gem first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
